Werken op een hightech containerterminal met een ontzettend breed werkveld van IT processen, data en robots? Je zou het misschien niet denken bij een containerterminal maar bij Rotterdam World Gateway werken wij met de nieuwste technologieën en is innovatie een dagelijks onderdeel van je werk als System Engineer. In de functie van System Engineer maak jij, elke dag weer, het verschil samen met het team van netwerk engineers, databasebeheerders, applicatiebeheerders en systeembeheerders. Als IT System Engineer (3e-lijn) ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het beheren en onderhouden van onze volledige IT infrastructuur. In onze eigen datacenters beheer je virtuele en fysieke servers, storage en data recovery oplossingen. Jij zorgt samen met je collega's van het IT-Infra team voor een hoge beschikbaarheid en stabiliteit van onze IT infrastructuur. De impact van het werk van de IT afdeling is groot; de grootste en volledig geautomatiseerde kranen van Europa draaien op de door jou beheerde data, systemen en infrastructuur.Je dag kan er als volgt uit zien:Analyse van IT-storingen en het oplossing van deze storingen.Ontwerpen en uitvoeren van oplossingen om de hoge beschikbaarheid te testen en te garanderen. Denk hierbij aan clustering, disaster recovery en cloud computing.Bieden van productie en ondersteuning voor onze storage en server hardware.Inrichting, beheren en monitoring van het complete server en storage landschap.Een van de projecten waarmee je mee aan de slag gaat is het deelnemen aan het IT team om samen te werken aan een Cloudmigratie. Een unieke kans om jezelf te ontwikkelen.Functie-eisenDe nieuwe System Engineer bij RWG heeft zowel kennis en ervaring On-Prem als inde Cloud. Daarnaast ben je nieuwsgierig en wil jij jezelf blijven ontwikkelen. Je bent gelijk hands-on als System Engineer en daarom hechten wij veel waarde aan praktijkervaring, het liefst onderbouwd met de juiste certificaten. Mocht je deze certificaten niet hebben dan start je gelijk met een opleidingstraject via RWG, je vindt het dan ook geen probleem hier tijd in te steken. In de functie van System Engineer is het belangrijk dat je:Een afgeronde mbo niveau 4 of hbo opleiding richting IT hebt;Beschikt over de laatste Microsoft certificaten (MCSE, AZ-104) of bereid bent deze te behalen;Hebt kennis en ervaring van cloud computing gericht op Azure;Je aantoonbare kennis en ervaring op zowel cloud als on-premise gebied zoals; VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Windows Server (AD/DNS/GPO), Certificaten en PowerShell;Bij voorkeur ook kennis hebt van Veeam, Pure Storage en Cisco UCS;Analytisch bent. Dit is onmisbaar bij het ontwerpen en beheren van de integratie tussen processen, data en robots; Beschikt over een gezonde dosis social skills, ook in het Engels.
