Editors are wordsmiths; they write and edit movie and tv show descriptions RESPONSIBILITIES Acquire and record correct information regarding programs and TV listings from a variety of Finnish channels and top content providers. Investigate, confirm and document questionable program content by consulting program information providers and others. Consolidate data content and new program information in databases. Edit and maintain TV listings information, create and curate information on movies and shows. Maintain accurate database information and provide timely updating of listings information. Ensure the accuracy of editorial content, authenticity of program information and timely delivery to in- house personnel. Analyze, develop and recommend solutions to editorial, communication and technical procedural and operational needs. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Must be native or near-native Finnish and have IMPECCABLE writing and verbal skills. The ability to commence asap is highly desirable. Effective writing, grammatical, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Preferably with a background in journalism, copy writing or translation. Good knowledge of UK television and VOD programming preferred, and most importantly a love for movies. We are looking for a quality focused individual with high level of attention to detail. Must be able to work accurately under deadline and willing to work outside regular business hours. We are looking for a Schedule Editor for the German market specifically with German language skills. The role of Schedule Editor is German After Hours position it will be shift Monday-Thursday - 1230PM to 2100PM / Sunday- 1130AM to 1900PM responsible for the efficient processing and curation of television schedules specifically relating to sports content. It requires diligent workflow management to accurately process and update electronic programming guides (EPG) as they become available by different content providers. Schedule Editors are also responsible for maintaining, updating, and improving the Gracenote database that powers the consumer product and ultimately the end-user experience. Schedule Editors assist and report directly to Ingest Metadata Production Team Leaders, who manage all market-specific daily operations.The ideal candidate will be able to accurately process a high volume of entertainment metadata in a timely fashion. They will be able to manipulate this data, to normalize and enhance it for evergreen use in the Gracenote database. RESPONSIBILITIES Acquire, normalize and enhance entertainment metadata (television electronic programming guides) from various content providers. Processing and manipulation of data required to ingest correctly into in-house software tools. High attention to detail is required to ensure that high-quality, accurate and timely, evergreen content is created in the Gracenote database. Investigate, query, and confirm questionable programming content when applicable. Run quality and assurance checks via systematic reports looking at the live database. Analyze and recommend process improvements. Contribute to team and department projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Proficient knowledge of German language Keen interest and broad sports knowledge are a real benefit for this position. Experience using computer software and databases, very good keyboarding skills. Data entry experience using content management systems beneficial.
